Welcome Participants,

Welcome to the first conference of the Asia-Pacific Academy of Management and Business – APAMB, that took place on March 5 – 8, 2007, in Singapore.

APAMB would like to extend it gratitude to our collaborators, SIM University (UniSIM) and its staff for the hospitality, generosity and kind efforts they provided in hosting this conference.

SIM University and APAMB provided a platform for professionals, practitioners, academics, educators and researchers in the various fields of management and business to disseminate and share the latest research, knowledge and experiences in the Asia-Pacific Region and beyond. This conference was organized by the International Academy of Management and Business (IAMB) in collaboration with the School of Human Development and Social Services, SIM University (UniSIM), at the SIM Management House in multiracial, multilingual, and multicultural Singapore.

This year the conference had scholars from 19 countries around the world, covering wide range of businesses and over 20 universities and academic institutions. The small setting with multinational delegates offers professional development opportunities for scholars and practitioners through personal contacts. The friendly atmosphere, the one on one opportunity for exchange and networking, and the multinational exposure were cited among the top benefits from conference attendees. Each submitted abstract/paper was peer reviewed and only accepted abstracts/papers were presented.
